With an aim to facilitate the guaranteed financing of movable property and rights such as motor vehicles, ships and intellectual property rights in six pilot cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, the National Copyright Administration (NCAC) recently instructed the China Copyright Protection Center and the Credit Information Center of the People's Bank of China to successfully realize the unified inquiry of copyright mortgage registration information through the unified registration and publicity system for movable property financing. Since September 26, 2022, the system has started to provide a unified inquiry service for copyright mortgage registration information nationwide, including the six pilot cities.
