On May 18, 2022, the district court of Wenzhou city officially launched its data resource branch court. As the leading figure of digital economy in the province, the data resource court is the first professional court in China aiming exclusively to handle cases related to data resource. 

The court puts its major efforts on the "three-in-one" trial mode to handle the criminal, civil and administrative affairs, in other words, all cases involving data resources are now under jurisdiction of data resource courts. The jurisdiction of specific cases includes: criminal cases that seriously infringe on the legitimate rights and interests such as personal information, trade secrets, confidential business information, and cases related to data supervision duty crimes; improper infringement of civil cases of tort liability disputes and contract disputes related to the rights and interests of data resources, including personal information, trade secrets and confidential business information; intellectual property cases such as unfair competition on the Internet and disputes over ownership of data resources; administrative cases involving administrative licensing of data resources, information disclosure, administrative punishment, administrative supervision and other non-litigation administrative execution cases.

Rgearding the next development of the data resource court, he court intends to carry out its future endeavor scheme from mainly four perspectives, namely, issuing judicial safeguard opinions, strengthening business guidance, setting up expert assistant teams, and extending judicial service functions.
