The Supreme Court held press conference on April 21 during the 2022 Intellectual Property Publicity Week, informing the general situation of judicial protection of intellectual property rights in national courts in 2021, and issued the Reports on Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in China (2021), which provides systematic introduction in both Chinese and English on judicial protection of intellectual property rights in Chinese courts in 2021. 

In 2021, the number of intellectual property cases accepted and concluded by the courts reached a record high, with 642,968 new intellectual property cases of first instance, second instance and retrial application, and 601,544 cases (including old ones) concluded, both exceeding 600,000 cases, an increase of 22.33% and 14.71% respectively compared with 2020.
