In his recent talk with IPRdaily, Mr. Baek Ingi, director of KOTRA trade office (Shanghai), revealed the latest plans and strategies of the oversea intellectual property divisions (IP-DESK). 

Funded by KIPO, IP-DESK aims to provide full-range backup services for clients dedicated to Sino-Korea IP businesses from its established branches in cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shenyang and Hongkong. 

KOTRA subsidizes fees of trademark and patent application in China for Korean enterprises, and also provides subsidies of up to 70% for the investigation and banning of intellectual property infringement, formulation of legal opinions and other related expenses. All Korean enterprises of small and medium sizes may apply for relevant services conveniently in official website of KOTRA. 

KOTRA also cooperates with local administrative organs and e-commerce platforms, helping to build contact with brands and provide appraisal services for products with Korean brands.
