The National Intellectual Property Administration made a recent announcement of its Guidelines for Inquiry of Intellectual Property Statistics, aiming to further facilitate the public to inquire and use the statistical data of intellectual property disclosure. CNIPA had combed and summarized the statistical data and inquiry methods of intellectual property disclosure, and compiled and formed this inquiry guide. 

I. Monthly data 

CNIPA publishes the Monthly Statistical Report on Examination and Registration of CNIPA on a monthly basis, including monthly statistical data on patent authorization, trademark registration, approval and protection of geographical indications, and certification of integrated circuit layout design.

II. Annual data 

1. Statistical data in the appendix of the Annual Report of CNIPA can be downloaded from the column of "Government Affairs-> Policy Documents-> Annual Report".

2. Annual Report on Intellectual Property Statistics: currently, all annual data since 1985 can be queried (trademarks are statistical data since 2019).

3. China Statistical Yearbook can be found in the "Statistical Data-Statistical Publications" column of the portal website of the National Bureau of Statistics.

4. The main statistical data of semi-annual and annual intellectual property rights will also be made public to the public through the press conference of CNIPA, and the live text content can be browsed and inquired through the "News-Press Release" column of the portal of CNIPA (www.cnipa.gov.cn). 

III. Statistical surveys, reports of the five bureaus and other special data 

1. "China Patent Investigation Report" and other special statistical investigation reports, patent industrialization rate and other special survey data and reports are made public through the "Data" column-> "Statistical Analysis Results" of the portal website of CNIPA.

IV. Summary of Historical Statistics 

In order to facilitate the inquiry and use of continuous data, CNIPA has sorted out the annual data according to the main indicators such as patents, trademarks, geographical indications and layout design of integrated circuits, and formed a historical statistical data table, so that the public can inquire and obtain historical continuous data as needed.
