Supreme People's Court Solicits Public Opinions on Provisions Concerning Online Consumption Disputes

In order to properly handle online consumption disputes, protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers according to law, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the online economy, the Supreme People's Court drafted the Provisions on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Laws in the Trial of Online Consumption Disputes (I) (Draft for Soliciting Opinions). In order to further improve the judicial interpretation, the court hopes that people from all walks of life will actively put forward valuable opinions. Specific feedback on amendments can be sent in writing or e-mail, and specific grounds for suggestions are welcomed.

The Draft constitutes 24 Articles, which are divided into five sections: I. Contractual Rights and Obligations; II. Online Consumption Frauds; III. Livestream Commerce; IV. Take-away Catering; V. Others.
