According to Announcement No.177 of CNIPA, the electronic exchange of bilateral priority documents between China and Europe was started from September 3, 2012. Due to the relevant arrangements for the transfer of priority electronic exchange business of the European Patent Office, services of obtaining each other's electronic priority documents through bilateral exchange channels between China and Europe will be terminated from January 1, 2022.

In order to continue to provide electronic priority services for applicants from China and Europe, CNIPA and the European Patent Office decided to migrate the electronic exchange of bilateral priority documents between China and Europe to WIPO DAS platform. That is, for applications filed after January 1, 2022 (including this day), if the applicant wishes to obtain the electronic priority documents issued by CNIPA or the European Patent Office, he shall go through the deposit and inquiry procedures according to the requirements of WIPO DAS platform.
