LES China Chapter Participates in the Global Forum on Intellectual Property Protection and Innovation

On May 30, 2023, the LES China Chapter (Licensing Executives Society China) participated in the Global Forum on Intellectual Property Protection and Innovation at the ZFC Forum. Michael Lasinki, President of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), was invited to give a keynote speech on intellectual property protection in international technology transfer and licensing.

The Global Forum on Intellectual Property Protection and Innovation was successfully held in Beijing on May 30, 2023, as part of the ZFC Forum (Zhongguancun Forum). Michael Lasinki, President of LESI, and other domestic and foreign industry experts gave keynote speeches on the global intellectual property protection and utilization, focusing on the development of science and technology innovation clusters.

In his speech, Michael Lasinki introduced the mission and vision of LESI to promote global intellectual property operation, and shared the current problems and suggestions in international technology transfer and licensing. He also presented the latest cases and trends on intellectual property valuation, royalty rates, standard essential patents (SEP) licensing and other intellectual property operation and protection practices.

Michael Lasinki’s speech was well received by the audience, who learned about the hot and frontier issues in international technology transfer and licensing. The forum arranged for Michael Lasinki and other guests from home and abroad to share their insights and experiences, which achieved the purpose of international exchange.

The Global Forum on Intellectual Property Protection and Innovation was held in a hybrid online-offline format. More than 220 guests from China, France, Japan, Korea, Germany and other countries, including intellectual property agencies, international intellectual property organizations, renowned experts, scholars and entrepreneurs, research institutions, financial institutions, service agencies and media outlets attended the forum in person. The forum was also live-streamed on “Cloud Zhongguancun”, attracting more than 2,000 online participants.
