At the 35th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 15th Beijing Municipal People's Congress held on November 25th, a further review was conducted on the Beijing Intellectual Property Protection Regulations (Draft) (hereinafter referred to as the reviewed draft).

According to the reviewed draft, the copyright, culture and tourism departments should strengthen the supervision of copyright infringement and formulate copyright protection measures that adapt to the network environment and digital economy. The copyright department of Beijing shall tighten its supervision and establish an early warning system on websites and works that had drawn attention from the state and municipal copyright departments. 

Dishonesty in the IPR field will not only face severe punishment, but also the strict supervision of the public. In terms of supervision on intellectual property credibility, the draft proposes that the city should establish and improve the intellectual property credit evaluation and disciplinary mechanism for dishonesty, and implement corresponding management and disciplinary measures for serious dishonesty in the intellectual property field according to law. The intellectual property protection and management department shall share the relevant administrative punishment and other information to the public credit information service platform according to law, and make timely announcement to the public.
