According to the media cooperation agreement signed between the Central Radio and Television Station and the International Olympic Committee, while obtaining the exclusive all-media rights and sub-licensing rights of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in Chinese mainland (including Macau), the Central Radio and Television Station must also undertake the legal obligation to protect the Olympic copyright according to law. China's competent government departments attach great importance to the protection of Olympic copyrights, focus on cracking down on the unauthorized uploading and dissemination of Tokyo Olympic Games programs on the network platform by public accounts, especially short videos and live broadcast platform accounts, and explicitly require network service providers to take protective measures such as not providing the program, prohibiting users from uploading the program, and deleting the infringing links in time.
The Central Radio and Television Station will unite with all parties to further strengthen the rights protection, to resolutely investigate and deal with infringing and pirated Olympic programs and illegally profit gained by unfair competition means, and will sternly affix the legal responsibilities of relevant subjects according to law, so as to prevent infringers and pirates from seeking huge illegitimate interests by infringing Olympic copyright.
The monitoring data shows that as of August 3, the cumulative number of live infringing links has reached 4,759, and the number of on-demand infringing links has reached 103,221; the cumulative infringing links of individual key commercial websites have reached nearly 30,000. Although the cumulative offline rate of some key commercial websites exceeds 80%, its 24-hour offline rate is less than 40%.
