During the NPC and CPPCC sessions, He Zhimin, deputy director of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), pointed out in an interview that China's intellectual property rights are currently entering a new stage of high-quality and high-efficiency development. 

Meanwhile, CNIPA has deployed special rectification actions against abnormal patent applications. Inspections are on their way at local intellectual property departments in their punitive effort against trademark scrambling, hoping to reach a targeted plan for punishment, and a "blacklist" system through the study on the specific manifestations of dishonesty in the trademark field.

In another report, the 14th Five-Year Plan for Intellectual Property Rights has been listed as top priority and shall be soon enacted after the mid-year ratification of the State Council.
